Yes, we won! The Class Best Sustainable Student Property and Best Student Housing Property award 2021! Both awards are an international prize for our newest complex: Student Experience Amsterdam Minervahaven. We can proudly say that this location is the most sustainable student complex in Europe and also offers first-class living comfort and facilities for students from all over the world.
The Best in Class Awards is an international prize that is awarded annually to organizations and initiatives that set an example in the field of student housing and shared living.
Winning these two awards is the icing on the cake of our work. We are extremely proud of the entire team that contributes every day. Creating the ideal living environment where students can fully focus on their studies and student life is always our main priority.
Best Sustainable Student Property
The complex is BREEAM-NL certified, which ensures minimal CO2 emissions. Various innovative solutions have been applied for this, such as solar panels on three facades, LED lighting throughout the building and the use of a heat-cold storage system instead of gas. Our green roofs support the local flora and fauna and have even become a study case for ecology students. In addition, residents are encouraged daily to minimize their carbon footprint by using shared bicycles, the recyclable waste system and the rental of household items. Organized events such as a swap party, masterclass and co-study session ensure social sustainability and a close community.

Best Student Housing Property
Student Experience Amsterdam Minervahaven is a short stay residence where students can stay for the maximum period of one year. Ideal when you come to Amsterdam for an internship, minor or PhD research. In addition to the 600 fully furnished studios with their own kitchen and bathroom, there are also numerous communal facilities where residents can socialize with each other. There is a lounge with cozy sitting areas, game corner, dining room, gym and of course the characteristic rooftop sports field. Organizing various activities such as a yoga class, meet & greet, rooftop movie night and co-study sessions contribute to the community-feeling. In addition, the Student Experience team is 24/7 available; from check-in at the reception to the convenience of an online portal and the presence of a security guard during the night. Service that is being appreciated, because our duty managers are rated with a 9.5/10!
